The second week of the 2015 high school football season is upon us and Clovis High continues to find a way to out physical great opponents. The Cougars once again brought their physical play on Defense led by Josh Hokit and Tanner Rice. Clovis also continued their effective passing attack led by the “Trio” WR Coltin Valasquez, JJ Wills and QB Sean Kuenzinger for a second week in a row. This game was close at halftime 21-17 but Clovis would take Lemoore to the woodshed in the second half. The Cougars dominated the second half after Lemoore star QB Logan Ahlin was knocked out of the game with an undisclosed injury in the 3rd quarter. Clovis high went on a solid run outscoring Lemoore 20-7 in the second half and looked poised to make a run at valley gold this year. Keep an eye out for this stacked Cougar squad in November when you might just see them in the coveted valley championship.
